A soap formulated with African oils, enriched with pure Shea butter and Zanzibar Clove essential oil. Ground clove gives it a gentle texture, and it lathers creamy with a warm, spiced scent lifted by hints of citrus.

The Botanicals | Key Ingredients
Coconut Oil
Pressed from the kernel of the coconut. Naturally rich in medium-chain fatty acids, long valued for its softening and skin-conditioning properties. Sourced from Mozambique.
Sunflower Oil
Cold-pressed from sunflower seeds. High in linoleic acid, valued for its light texture and skin-conditioning properties. Sourced from Tanzania.
Shea Butter
The West African variety is the most studied botanical butters in cosmetic science; for good reason. Rich in fatty acids, it is known for its moisturising and skin-softening properties. Sourced from Ghana & Burkina Faso.
Clove Essential Oil
Steam-distilled from the flower buds of the clove tree. Sourced from Zanzibar.
Palm Oil
RSPO-certified, from sustainably managed plantations. Long used in soap-making for the firm, long-lasting bar it produces.
Clove Powder
Ground from dried clove buds. Valued in soap-making for the gentle texture it lends to a bar. Sourced from Zanzibar.
Origin Story
Clove Soap
Zanzibar was built on Cloves. They dried on mats in the sun, filled the warehouses, and gave the island its name in half the languages that traded here. The smell is still everywhere, in the spice farms and in the markets.
This soap is made with Clove essential oil distilled on the island, and ground clove worked into the bar for texture. Shea butter softens it, and a lift of citrus keeps the spice from sitting too heavy.
Cured four weeks, cut and stamped by hand.
